Road trip chicks
— Why we love it

In this hectic, fast-paced world we could all probably use some time to unwind, take a breath and get some perspective. Out in the middle of nowhere you can often find just that. —Road Trip Chicks

We’ve camped, glamped, rented RVs, trucks for off-roading, and speed boats. Now and again we crash out in the middle of nowhere with just our sleeping bags.

We use the term road trip chicks tongue in cheek as we’re way past the chronological age to be considered spring chickens. That said, there’s no reason women of any age shouldn’t go out and just play.

We’ve logged 12 road trips to date and have gone off-roading, kayaking, rock climbing, backcountry camping and hot air ballooning We’re prone to throwing on angel wings or a cape in the middle of the desert and taking photos just because it’s fun. We’re also big on hats.

Simply put, throw away any preconceived ideas of what a road trip should be and create whatever you want it to be. There are no rules here which is why it’s so liberating.

There is freedom in hitting the open road that is indescribable to those who haven’t yet experienced it. Particularly when it’s just you, an adventurous friend, a well packed vehicle and the simple desire to get out there and see, explore and create.

Thelma and Louise remains the iconic portrayal of women out on the open road, but as neither of us resemble either Thelma or Louise, we thought we’d portray a less tragic but equally adventurous model of women on road trips.

In this hectic, fast-paced world we could all probably use some time to unwind, take a breath and get some perspective.

Out in the middle of nowhere you can often find just that.

See you out there…
